Minutes of Meeting held on 6th July, 2021

  1. Cllr. Osborne chaired the monthly meeting with Cllrs. C Smith, P Chapman, S Smith, J Sheppherd, County Cllr. Nicky Chopak and one member of the Public attending.
  2. Apologies

    Apologies received form Cllrs. I Franklyn and C Pallett.

  3. Declarations

    There were no declarations in respect of this Agenda

  4. Minutes

    The minutes of the previous meeting had been Emailed to Councillors, they were agreed and signed as necessary.

  5. Balance at Bank

    The balance at the Bank is £8472.71 in the Current A/C and £234.73 in the Primrose A/C

  6. Accounts to pay:-

    Ross Wilmshurst - Footpath Work £90.00
    Propose we pay Cllr. P Chapman Seconded Cllr. Smith

  7. Planning Application PA21/03671

    Proposed demolition of existing garage & outbuildings and construction of new garage and workshop with re-location of oil tank. – Barton Villa, Canworthy Water. Councillors feel that there should be a condition that the new garage and workshop cannot be sold separately to the main dwelling. The plans seem extravagant for a garage/workshop.

  8. Planning Application PA21/04555

    Change of use from agriculture to siting of five Shepherd Huts for use as holiday accommodation - Uppercourt, Broad Langdon, Jacobstow, Bude - Councillors concerned about the foul water disposal in that area.

  9. Planning Application PA21/04416

    T1 Beech to be felled as dead on top, unbalanced and hanging over pathway - T3 Beech, large limb mid way up to be removed as client fears the tree is weighted towards his property - The Old Rectory, Jacobstow, Bude. - Councillors all supported this via Email earlier in the month.

  10. Cornwall Council approved Planning Applications for:-

    • PA21/04237 - Marlands Farm, Broad Langdon, Jacobstow
    •  PA21/02562 - Sunnyside, Jacobstow
    •  PA21/03991 - Land situated above Foxglove Cottage, Jacobstow
    •  PA21/03132 - Sam’s Meadow, Jacobstow
    •  PA21/04416 - The Old Rectory, Jacobstow
  11. Information on 56 day Camping rule

    Councillors noted there is now a new temporary 56 day camping rule

  12. Councillors breaching Code of Conduct Rules

    Councillors discussed this and agreed we do not have a problem with this.

  13. Bude Community Project

    They are looking to talk to people over 65 years of age.

  14. Councillor Matters

    It was reported that someone is or had been sleeping rough in the new Bus Shelter. Clerk had already reported this to the Police and Cornwall Council.

There being no further business the meeting was closed at 8.30pm
