Minutes of Meeting held on 4th October, 2022

  1. Cllr. Charmaine Smith chaired the Ordinary meeting with Cllrs. P Chapman, I Franklyn, J Shepherd, A Vogel, County Cllr. Nicky Chopak and the Clerk attending. There were also five members of the Public attending.
  2. Apologies

    Apologies received from Cllrs. S Smith and N Osborne.

  3. Declarations

    There were no declarations of interest in respect of this Agenda.

  4. Minutes

    The minutes had been Emailed to all Councillors and were agreed and signed as necessary.

  5. Balance at Bank

    It was reported that the balance is £12,446.51 in the Current A/C and £2,802.97 in the Solar A/C

  6. Cornwall Council

    Cornwall Council had approved Planning for PA22/04863 Land South of Hele Barton.

  7. Cornwall Fire & Rescue

    Correspondence received saying that the Cornwall Fire and Rescue wish to close the Critical Control Centre and move the function out of the County. Write to them saying we support their campaign to keep it in Cornwall.

  8. Accounts to pay

    Proposed we pay Cllr. Chapman Seconded Cllr. Vogel

  9. Planning Application No PA22/0774

    Erection of a building to house water pressure & filtration system for private bore hole etc. (retrospective) on Land East of Highway Farm, Jacobstow. – Reply saying Councillors would like the permitted development rights to be removed. Proposed Cllr. Chapman Seconded Cllr.Vogel.

  10. Planning Application PA22/07358

    The development of a new Modular Eco-friendly dwelling – Land at 219942, 094398 – Jacobstow, Bude. The chairperson opened the meeting to let the Applicant speak. Councillors said to reply saying they support the principle of the planning application but were unable to apply a material planning reason. The Planning Officer spoke to the Clerk to say she needed more confirmation.
    After further discussion with the Chairperson and Cllr. Chopak the comments to read as follows:
    “Councillors would like to make it clear that they do not support this Application, only the Eco-friendly concept, due to the lack of policy principle in that location.”

  11. Planning Application No PA22/08049

    Erection of a dwelling – Land East of Little Beckaveans, Jacobstow - Reply saying Councillors wish to make no comment. (The signage on the junction is very bad. Needs additional signage).

There being no further business the meeting was closed at 8.35pm.
