Minutes of Ordinary Meeting held on 7th April, 2026

  1. Cllr. Charmaine Smith chaired the monthly meeting with Cllrs. P Chapman, S Smith, A Vogel, County Cllr. Nicky Chopak, Mrs D. Turner (Clerk) J Hodgson and two members of the public attending.
  2. Apologies

    Apologies received from Cllr. N Osborne and Cllr. K Anderton

  3. Declarations

    There were no declarations or dispensations in respect of this Agenda

  4. Minutes

    The minutes of the previous meeting had been Emailed to all and were agreed and signed.

  5. Balance at Bank

    It was reported that the Balance at the Bank was £19,456.57 in the Current a/c and £5,885.41 in the Solar a/c.

  6. Planning Application No PA26/01626

    Demolition of existing conservatory and replacement with single storey extension – Honeys Meadow, Jacobstow.
    Councillors support this Application

  7. Planning Application No PA26/01321

    Removal of greenhouse and extension and replace with new bedroom extension - Little Otter, Broad Langdon, Jacobstow. Councillors support this Application.

  8. Cornwall Council

    Cornwall Council had approved Planning Application No PA26/00804 – Broad Langdon, Jacobstow and PA26/00033 – Retrospective planning – Eden Farm, Jacobstow.

  9. Accounts to pay:-

    Michael Vanstone Plant Hire £528.00 (Concrete base for seats at Goldfinch Close.) Proposed Cllr. Chapman Seconded Cllr. S Smith

    Extension, refurbishment & remodelling - The Old Barn, Broad Langdon, Jacobstow - Councillors support this Application (They have concerns about the lane being blocked when work commences as many people live down there.)

  12. Account to pay CALC (Annual Fee)

    It was decided not to renew the Subscription this year. Proposed Cllr. Vogel Seconded Cllr. Chapman

  13. Co-Opting Councillor

    It was decided by show of hands to Co-opt Mr. John Hodgson as Councillor.

  14. Email

    Email received from a resident regarding alterations to her driveway. Advised her to contact Cornwall Council to get advice on what is required.

    2. Planning Application PA25/06108

      Cottage Farm, Jacobstow – Cornwall Council to approve this application. Reply saying Councillors would like Option 2 Agree to disagree.

    3. Weed Control

      Reply to Cornwall Council to Opt in to their weed control scheme.

    4. Bude Solutions

      Reply to Bude Solutions regarding Domain name.

    5. Computor

      Clerk to get prices for a new Laptop for Council use.

    6. Bus Shelter

      Clerk to contact Jag Signs regarding estimate to repair broken glass in Bus Shelter.
