Minutes of Ordinary Meeting held on 3rd February, 2026

  1. Cllr. Charmaine Smith chaired the monthly meeting with Cllrs. P Chapman, N Osborne, S. Smith, J Shepherd, A Vogel, County Cllr. Nicky Chopak Mrs. D.A. Turner (Clerk) and one member of the public attending.
  2. Apologies

    Apologies received from Cllr. K Anderton.

  3. Declarations/Dispensations

    No declarations in respect of this Agenda

  4. Minutes

    The minutes had been Emailed to all Councillors and were agreed and signed.

  5. Balance at Bank

    The balance at the Bank was £18,946.36 in the Current A/C and £5885.41 in the Solar A/C.

  6. Positive Planning Meeting

    Clerk to send link to join the meeting to all Councillors.

  7. Planning Application No PA25/08413

    Old Barn, Langdon, Jacobstow.
    Cornwall Council approved this Application.

  8. Highways

    Submit to Cornwall Council details for grant to put signs on East Langdon Corner (road from Langdon Cross to Canworthy Water) and maybe “SLOW” painted on road.

  9. Planning Application No PA25/07280

    Land North of Trengune, Jacobstow
    Cornwall Council had approved this.

  10. Planning Application No PA25/05620 – Trehausa, Week St. Mary.

    Cornwall Council had approved this.

  11. Planning Application No PA26/00033

    Retrospective application for change of use from agricultural to equestrian (commercial livery) use. Including conversion of buildings to stables and retention of all weather arena – Eden Farm, Jacobstow, Bude. Councillors supported this Application.

  12. Accounts to pay:

  13. Assertion Training

    The Clerk had attended an Online Course - new Email addresses etc. Discuss this with Bude Solutions.

  14. Flooding at Edgar Road

    It was reported that there had been bad flooding on Edgar Road . Cllr. Chopak will report this.

  15. Councillor matters

    1. Cllr. Chapman still looking into the price of troughs for plants to be planted.
    2. Clerk to get two quotes to construct the bases and fix the seats at Goldfinch Close.

There being no further business the meeting was closed at 8.30pm.
