Elections of Officers
As this was the Annual General Meeting it began with the election of Officers. Cllr. Charmaine Smith was proposed by Cllr. S Smith and seconded by Cllr. P Chapman as the Chairperson. Cllr. Peter Chapman was proposed by Cllr. A. Vogel and seconded by Cllr. S Smith as Vice-Chairman. All unanimously agreed.

Cllr. C Smith then chaired the meeting with Cllrs. P Chapman, A Vogel, J Shepherd S Smith, County Cllr. Nicky Chopak and the Clerk, Mrs D.A. Turner attending.

Declaration of Interest/Dispensations
No declarations.

Minutes
The minutes of the previous meeting had been Emailed to Councillors and were agreed and signed.

Balance at Bank
It was reported that the balance at the Bank was £18,402.87 in the Current a/c and £5014.26 in the Solar a/c.

Email from a resident
An Email was received regarding people living in caravans at Tretaylu Farmhouse. Reply saying contact Planning Enforcement on the Cornwall Council Website.

Annual Audit forms
- The Audit form Section 1 Annual Governance Statement 2024/25 was completed on behalf of the Councillors and signed by the Chairperson and the Clerk/RFO
- Section2 Accounting statement 2024/25 were completed by the Clerk/RFO and signed as necessary. The meeting approved the Accounts and these were signed by the Chairperson. The accounts will be checked by the Internal Auditor and then displayed on the Notice Board and the Website.
- The Certificate of Exemption – AGAR 2024/25 Part 2 was signed by the Chairperson and all will be sent to the External Auditor.

South West of Lower Blagdon – Erection of Horse Barn with loafing area - This had been approved by Cornwall Council.

Dates for CALC Training received.

No conflict form
A form confirming that there is no conflict between Jacobstow P C and the Auditors BDO LLP unanimously agreed and duly signed by the Chairperson and the Clerk.

- Bude area 20mph - An online meeting regarding the 20mph speed limit will be discussed on the 11th June, 2025 15.00 – 17.00hrs
It was suggested that where there is 30mph it be reduced to 20mph. Cllr P Chapman to attend to represent the Parish Council.

Councillor matters
- It was suggested and unanimously agreed to send a card and a bouquet of flowers to Mrs. Ilona Franklyn in appreciation of her years of service on the Parish Council.
- Clerk to write another reminder to Penhallym regarding the work there.
- It was suggested and agreed to ask Miss Kym Anderton to be co-opted onto the Parish Council. Proposed Cllr. Chapman Seconded Cllr. S Smith.
There being no further business the meeting was closed at 8.30pm
